Organization Structure of the College
With the aim of providing
higher education and culture to the community of Ramdurg
Taluka and nearby villages in Belgavi district, C.S.Bembalagi
Arts College was started in the historical building. TURNUR
PALACE by the great efforts, scarifies and dedication of
the members of Vidya Prasarak Samiti in June 1966. ARTS
& COMMERCE faculty was started in 1968 and Commerce faculty
in 1971. The ARTS & COMMERCE faculty is named as Sha Motilal
Raichand Palaresha ARTS & COMMERCE and Commerce faculty
as Giridharlal Lachamandas Rathi Commerce, who gave generous
donations. At present the college with the name,C.S.B. Atrs.
S.M.R.P. ARTS & COMMERCE and G.L.R.Commerce College, Ramdurg
is working its own NEW BUILDING ROYAL PALACE. The new building
has come up opposite to Royal Palace.
The college, which started with only 66
students and 6 lectures in 1966, is now imparting higher
education to more than 1,000 students in B.A., B.Sc.and
B.Com. courses by the devoted faculty. The library, which
is housed in the main building, has more than 47,000 books.
The college also subscribes to periodicals,journals/magazines,
news papers etc for the use of students.The laboratories
are well equipped by the UGC grants and management contribution.
We are very much proud of our students academic
performance. We have received a letter of appreciation twice
by the Commissioner for Collegiate Education, Bangalore
for obtaining college results more than 75% in the years
2001-2002 and 2002-2003. Our students secured rank once
in B.A. thrice in B.Sc. and once in B.Com. Further our students
(obtained) received gold medals for highest marks in subjects
namely once in Political ARTS & COMMERCE , Once in Histroy,twice
in Kannada, twice in sociology and thrice in Economics.
Our College students have been selected as “University
Blue” in different games namely, Mr Kareemsab.I. Pailwan(Kabaddi),
Miss Laxmi Gornar (Kho Kho), and Mr.Lohit Lamani(Net Ball)
during 2014-2015 which proved a continuous representation
at University level.Mr.Shivanand Sayappanavar, our NCC cadet,
has participated in Republic Day Parade held at New Delhi
on 26th January ,2015 and has brought a recognition to the
institute.Because of the continuous training motivation
and support our college students are always in the time
light in academic, sports and other acticities.
